Golgo 13: It’s pretty budget, but at least with this kind of show there’s excuses for lots of pan shots anyway. The music is gloriously cheesy oldschool synth. And I’m amazed they got the OP OR the sex scene in the EP on TV Tokyo.

Library War - Budget budget is occasionally budget, but I like what they’re doing with depth of field and thick borders. Interrupted by MacF, but returning, I found a lot to get my attention; there’s a lot of creative choices in how to animate things, and it hasn’t detracted from flow yet. Also, the setting is great.
Soul Eater Late Show - What’s different? The eyecatch and the preview. Can’t wait to see the week 1/week 2 ratings on this.
Kaiba to come later.

Top Secret: I wanted to like it, I’d really be into the idea of a nice bittersweet look at someone’s last moments every week, I can even stand the character designs and random spots of fangirl bait. But the music rarely fit the scene, deus ex machina technology was there almost on the level of a western crime show, and when it started mimicking School Days that was kind of the last straw. It might get an ep or two more from being after Real Drive, but I’m not optimistic.
Glass Maiden: Unexpected awesome. The production values aren’t great, and the ideas aren’t that new, but it’s entirely competent, the characters are cool and fit well together, the music tends to fit well (especially a catchy OP), and there’s the nice feel of staff and actors actually being into it.

Soul Eater: Awesome animation, great acting from almost the whole cast, and the promise that the late-night service will be centered around the busty neechan-type witch rather than the heroine. A pity said heroine emotes slightly worse than Hatsune Miku—her only lines that don’t sound awkward and forced are her screams.
Vampire Knight: No, T○○y, it wasn’t “just bad enough to be funny.” It was just plain bad, quite apart from also just plain not to my taste.
Monochrome Factor: Sentencing him to watch this as retribution was my own mistake, realizing I had to watch to make sure he did. At least it was more entertainingly, in-your-face shitty than the comparably bland Vampire Knight. Also, wow that’s a lot of Koreans in the credits.

Code Geass R2: Made no sense at all; fortunately, nonsensical violence and animu-isms are exactly what I’m looking for in a Code Geass series.
Nabari: Incredible painted backgrounds. Pity about the ninja BL. From here on, girls are vulnerable to the R-strain of that disease, as well as A?
And, having caught up via recordings:
Allison and Lillia: Angry pilot is exceedingly angry, but she does make a decent action main character, and the interbellum motif will be enough to keep me watching at least a bit more.
Kure-nai: Domestic violence: the animation. Amazing op/ed work and backgrounds, though, and another Sawashiro/Sanada combi to disturb people with a well-timed “Imagine Dejiko and Puchiko in that scene”.
Chi’s Sweet Home: Wouldn’t watch at all as a full-length series, but as daily three-minute shorts it’s refreshing and charming.

Tower of Druaga: First ep was PERFECT, like a mix of Dragon Half and oldschool SD Gundam. Not as optimistic about 2-12, but they seem to be playing it comedically, and they’ve got the original author of FMP writing, so he might be able to keep up crazy Fumoffu mode all the way through.

Allison and Lilia: Thought it ran opposite MacF. Had no chance. Was wrong, but still don’t get BS2.
Macross Frontier: Not only incredibly awesome, but changed up a lot from Deculture version. Has the best eyecatch gimmick ever.
xxxHolic Kei: Just plain dull; nothing really horrible, as long as you like noodles, but.
To-LOVE-ru:great > good > bad > so bad it’s good > too bad to be so bad it’s good > so bad you can have fun mocking it with friends > Manos > this. It’s so utterly horrible, and on at such a convenient time, I’m almost tempted to watch just to shit on it every week.
Kure-nai: I don’t get tvk.
